Plot Summary :
Gemma has everything she could want in her life. She has a stable job that she loves even though the said job puts her in danger every time she does it. She is a traveler. Going away to places that no one has visited before her and the way she earns. If only she knew that one day her wandering personality would put her in the clutches of a monster.
Her latest mission is another iunknown forest. Everything is okay until she stumbles upon an old house that is more of an abandoned mansion. A few things in the house make her think that someone has been living in this place recently.
That is until the owner of the house returns back. Kas is a man who is absolutely happy in his solitude. The presence of humans has only given him pain and now that he is alone everything is fine. That is until an intruder stumbles upon his property. A pretty little thing that he is going to destroy. He doesn’t know whether he wants to kill Gemma or use her for his other needs. Only time will tell.

Overall Opinion :
Alllrightttt. I seriously need to take a few long breaths because geez that cliffhanger just stabbed me so bad. Pepper is the queen of cliffhangers and this one was a killer ending too! She keeps you waiting only to give a taste of that amazing ending plot twist and then bam. Book finished.
This trilogy is definitely one of her darker works! There are a lot of triggers in it and I absolutely loved it. Pepper’s writing style is so freaking addictive to me and I can’t wait for more of it. Kas is one hell of a crazy alpha man who is just so broken. My heart literally broke for him so many times and before I knew it I loved him despite his crazy scenes. He was Dark and definitely a lot unhinged which just made him more attractive to me.
The storyline of the book has this amazing suspense element that just leaves you begging for more and I can’t wait for it! Those past scenes confused me and I want to know so much more about them. I need answers asap!
Highly recommended to all the dark romance people out there. This book has a lot of triggers that I have mentioned above and will update them around release , so please keep them in mind before reading this one! This book ends on a cliffhanger and the story will continue in the next installment.
