ARC REVIEW - When Heroes Fall
I am the villain of my own story...
Jilted by my fiance.
A disappointment to my family.
Haunted by my childhood traumas.
I felt so much all my life that I resolved to feeling nothing at all.
Until I met my match.
As the most infamous mafioso of the 21st century, Dante Salvatore was madly passionate, unequivocally bad, and entirely too dangerous to know. He was everything I abhorred, yet I found myself representing him in the biggest criminal trial of the decade.
I was so focused on winning and achieving the success I deserved that I didn't notice the gorgeous black-eyed man's effect on me until it was too late. My icy heart had been held too close to his flame and now I wouldn't let Dante go down without fighting with everything I had in me.
Even if the cost of a new life with him meant the loss of my old life and everything I thought I held dear.

“I’m wearing heels bigger than your dick so if this is a pissing contest, I think it’s safe to say I win”
Plot Summary :
Elena has always been the villain in other people’s stories. The bitch and the bully. She wears all those titles. But none of those people ever glimpsed the broken girl beneath her. The one who gave up everything for her sister and the one who cared for her siblings. She has walls around her heart and after her ;ast relationship she has no plans to let anyone in . especially not a man. Her plans come crashing when she is chosen to represent the capo. Dante Salvatore. A man so huge with power that can destroy everything. Having a horrible past with the mafia people , there is no way the ice queen will fall for the king of them , right? Then why is he the only one who makes her burn? The one who makes her feel things that no one has before.
“It was a heady thing to know I could make the ice queen burn.”
Dante never had an easy life. Becoming the capo was not an easy task but it was something that he took pride in. Until the ice queen came in front of him. Elena was a woman that very few liked. She was rude and hardcore but what those poeple doidn’t know was thay the ice queen had the biggest heart of them all. Her teprer rivaled his and she was the only one who made him burn. So now he was going to break the walls of hers and make her his. No matter how much she protests.
“He was everything I’d feared and everything I’d never consciously known I longed for.”
Overall Opinion :
Dante is here! I have been going crazy to meet the capo and his woman. Elena was his perfect match in every way. She was the most perfect heroine Giana has ever written and she quickly became my favourite! Her bitchy personality and those walls around her heart made me love her even more.
Dante was the perfect hero. He was Dark and a monster but when his swoon worthy side came out? No one stood a chance. The man made me love him as a side character in cosima’s duet and I absolutely am bonkers over him in his own book! The way his characters are written is just perfect and his behavior towards Elena was so good. He knew she was a broken woman beneath the hard exterior and he never coddled her which was something I loved.
The whole storyline is perfect and the first book of this duet drove me crazy and I can't wait for the next one! All those fans of Giana Darling , You need to read this one! All the people who love a bitchy heroine and a capo who breaks the walls around her heart and shows her love , then this is your jam!
