**Joyless is a MMF romance with its own HEA, and while it explores new characters, it is highly recommended that you read Volume 1 first, as the timeline mirrors that of Distorted and there will be references to Distorted in Joyless that could spoil book 1.**

Plot Summary :
Joy and Velle have been a team ever since they arrived at the alabaster penitentiary. They tried dating but knew that long term and feelings were something none of them were capable of. So they broke it off and became the best team ever. What they didn't know was that they had been missing their third part all along. The person who held them both together. And that link came in the form of a new guard. Rook was a straight man who had recently learned the meaning of heartbreak because of his wife cheating on him. His new job was the scariest part ever and the broody guard with the most ruthless personality wasn't making anything easier for the man. If only he wasn't attracted to him. If only he wasn't attracted to the guard's ex too. His life would have been so simple but simple was something he never had in this prison. With the welcome of the new prisoner, things are sure about to change and not in a good way. Or maybe in the best way possible.
Overall Opinion :
I have been waiting for so long for this book! I still remember the time when Nyla totally messed up my mind with the book 1 of this series and u was pretty much ready to exchange my first born to get my hands on the next installment and the time has finally arrived 🤣🔥
Joy, Rooke and Velle totally consumed my heart. I wasn't a big fan of Velle in book 1 because of his mind games but damn a part of me knew that this man might be one of my top heroes when his own boom came! And I was right. Velle is one hell of a moody anti hero who will surprise you in the best of ways. By the time you will get to know him, all you'll want is to hug the man because he is the most pretty soul ever.
The book started and hooked me right into it. I wanted answers about book 1 and I am so glad to say that I got a lot of them. Things now make sense and the loopholes that the author had left in book 1 , she made sure to fill each one of them. Another thing that I loved was that we also got to meet the upcoming characters of the series. This is like a freaking cycle, now I want book 3 so bad 🥺🥺🥺
I am Definitely recommending this book to all MMF romance loving people! This one is filthy and unfolds in the best way possible. I won't say that it is similar to the first book but trust me when I say that this one is special in its own way and was everything I wanted from these characters and this author!
