Release date: 14th June 2021

He held a darkness that could never be touched.
She carried a light that could never be seen.
Not by anyone. Only by each other.
Simply two halves of the same soul, Brantley and Saint were fused together with equal parts wrath and peace. Nothing could break through their bond. Nothing.
Until now.

Review :
Alright… So here goes nothing.
I have been sitting with this review on my computer for the past week. The first thing I would like to say is that I am a huge freaking fan of Amo and how she writes. Her books are amazing and This review does not mean that I won’t read her anymore or something .
The EKC world has been a series that I have been reading right from the start. I loved Bishop and Nate soo freaking much but I am sad to say that Brantly’s duet was not something I liked. The main reason being it’s confusing storyline. I read a few scenes again and again just to be clear but I am still not sure about what angle amo is trying to achieve? She somehow tried to put “Fantasy / Paranormal” concepts in her dark romance duet and that confused the hell out of me. I don’t know whether it’s that I don’t have knowledge about what she wrote or something else but I really did not understand what the hell happened in this book.
Brantley was one of my most anticipated characters and his book was a disappointment to me maybe because I expected too much.. I don’t know. The Whole storyline was pretty messed up and I did somehow like the first book and picked up the second one only because I was hooked on the cliffy , I wasn’t looking forward to reading these or anything. Book 2 was even more confusing for me . I did get a few answers to my questions but they just don't make sense.
I liked Bishop and Madison in this book and will definitely be reading Ruined Castles whenever that releases. But for Saint and Brantley , Yeah , that I did not like. This is my personal opinion , I have seen a lot of people loving this series and that’s good because they have their own tastes but for me this book felt Flat af. I found myself turning pages mumbling to myself , wishing that the author would just get it over with soon. There were a bare minimum number of scenes in which I felt the angst and since I am a sucker for angst , my interest in this book was completely gone by then.
I hope you all like this book more than me but for me Brantley deserved better.
