ARC REVIEW - Brutal Blueblood
They call him the ice king.
Owen Montgomery is arrogant and unfeeling--with cold, haughty manners and a British accent sharper than any knife. I've been secretly in love with him for years, knowing there's no way he could ever notice me, the scholarship girl. The poor girl. Until that night in Ibiza...until that night we taste each other's kiss for the first time, and I learn what hot hungers the ice king keeps hidden from public view.
It's also the night when I discover that after three years of sharing classes and even friends, Owen still has no idea who I am. None at all.
Pride stung, I vow to focus only on myself and my future in publishing. But little do I know that I've awakened an obsession in Owen that will soon outgrow the halls of Pembroke Prep and spill over into the real world.
Owen wants me, and he'll stop at nothing to have me. And soon I find myself with an impossible choice. Do I pick the future I always wanted for myself?
Or do I choose the blueblood whose kisses are as brutal as his love?

“And so, there was only one more year of being hopelessly, stupidly, perversely in love with Owen Montgomery.”
Star Rating : 4/5 Stars
POV : Dual
Cliffhanger : None
Hero : Owen
Heroine : Tanith
Pace of the story : Moderate
Angst Rating : 5/10
Heat Rating : 5/10
Plot Summary :
Owen is known as the ice king. His cold personality and indifferent attitude makes him tough to approach and his lack of emotions definitely make him stand up to his ice king name. If only Tanith and her heart got that hint.
She has been in love with the ice king forever. Not that he had any idea about her but that doesn't stop her from stealing looks at her. Until the night he did pay attention to her. Only to show her how ignorant he had been to her presence. So she ran away.
But now after months she is back. And the ice king is still waiting for her. Owen tried to forget her but was never able to. Ironic considering how oblivious he had been to her presence initially. But now things were not that easy. The woman he wanted did not want him back but there was no way he was giving up on her.
Tanith would be his, no matter what he had to do for that.
Overall Opinion :
I have been waiting for Owen's book ever since I read the first book of this series! Cold heroes are my jam and this hero definitely stood up to that character.
I loved the book! Owen and Tanith were pure fire and Becker Gray has given us another amazing installment for this series. There were times when Owen's too indifferent personality was a turn off for me but that's how he was written. His character progress was the best and I loved that transition.
I would definitely recommend this series and this standalone book to all the dark high school romance loving people.
