I guess you could say I was a damsel in distress, and he was my knight in shining armor.

But more accurately, I was a girl with a lot of bad luck, and he was a guy with a lot of muscles and tattoos.

Jude “Lucky” Lucketti wasn’t just a sexy, brooding construction worker. He was my own personal hero who seemed to be in all the right places at the right times. Like when my car broke down and I needed a ride home, and when I face planted on the sidewalk right in front of him and had to be taken to the emergency room.

Those weren’t exactly my best moments, but they were his.

We became friends, and it didn’t matter that he was sixteen years older than me. We had a lot in common—like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars, and our aversion to relationships.

When he approached me with a crazy idea to help me out, I couldn’t say no.

The arrangement was supposed to be temporary. A marriage on paper and nothing else.

It should’ve been easy, but it wasn’t.

Because here I am, eighteen years-old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.

Hero : Jude . He was the older lonely guy who even though was content in his life , he wanted so much more! He was kind and didn't hesitate to help out Skylar when he felt that she needed it.

Heroine : Skylar . She was funky and full of life. I loved the way she was sassy and how strong she was

Plot Summary :
Jude is a lonely man. The only companion he has in his life is his dog. He has a content life but there is something always missing. But he has no plans to settle and have kids. That is not the life he wants. That is until he meets a certain spitfire in front of his shop. Skylar is a breath of fresh air. With her 80s dressing style and attitude , she is everything he wants but can't have. Because of their age gap and the fact that she deserves much more than him.

Skylar has a lot of demons. She might have a stable house but only she knows the demons inside that house. That is until she meets a certain older guy that she has no business in wanting! Jude is hot and humorous and basically the whole package for her! Soon they become friends and start having interactions.

That is until jude sees the way she lives at home. Now he can't help but want to help her. So he makes an impulsive decision to marry her and give her a stable place to live in. That is the only reason they are doing this. But life has a way of shitting the most well made plans!

Overall Opinion :
This wasn't the first book I have read by this author. I know her writing style and wasn't surprised when she gave me another masterpiece to love!! I am a fan of age gap Romance , so this book was everything I wanted and loved. Her storylines have this amazing twist at the end and so did this book! Jude and Skylar have one hell of a tale that all contemporary romance lovers should definitely read!

I won't say that everything was good in this book. There were parts where I was getting bored like in the starting few chapters but once the author picked up and gave me a tinge of mystery in the book , I was hooked!
A must read for all the contemporary romance lovers out there!
