“The revenge Pact” is a standalone by the author Ilsa Madden Mills. Told in dual perspectives , this book is Ilsa at her Damn best!

From the moment I saw that 3 of my favourite authors were doing a collaboration in a series of standalones , I was pretty much losing my mind. I have read a lot of books by Ilsa and her books are definitely something that you can read anytime and in any mood. They give me a healthy dose of laughter and an amazing storyline all at once!

This book is Anastasia and River’s novel. River is one of the three main players of his college. After having messed up in his last season , all he wants is to forget and chill for a while. That is until he ends up banging into his long lost forbidden obsession.

Anastasia has the perfect life. She has a caring boyfriend and an amazing career. The only thing that has never made sense to her is the animosity River Tate has towards her. The moment she enters a room , he goes out. Never talks to her and when he does , it’s to hurl out insults. When her carefully constructed life crumbles , River is the one in whose arms she finds solace in. River is so conflicted to her in his life. He has spent so much time pushing her away that now he has her and he has no idea about what to do with her when he has her so near to him!

This book was full of sass and humour! That is something which you will always find in Ilsa’s books , she writes with her whole heart and we can feel that through the pages ! A definite recommendation to all the contemporary sports romance lovers out there!
