Once upon a time, Cinderella left school for a cast party.
She never made it.

I’m almost to the house when a strong hand closes over my mouth and pulls me into the shadows.

In the space of an instant, the night has gone from fairy-tale success to my darkest nightmare.

He says he’ll keep me for two days. I know he’s lying.

And worst of all, I might not want to leave.

Web-Photo-Editor The greatest threat walking these grounds is me. And tonight, I’ve kidnapped the princess.”

'Taken at midnight' is another Standalone novel in the Black Mountain Academy world by the author Amelia Wilde . Told in dual Perspectives , get ready to meet Desiree and Maximus.

This book has to be shortest read of this series , but damn if it doesn't make you take a ton of cold showers! Even in a small length of book the author has stunned me by her amazing writing skills and I can't even tell you guys how much I love this book! It was a very very fast read but enjoyable none the less.

Desiree is coming back from her Cinderella play from college and is walking down the road alone. Stupid , I know. But the girl made an impulsive decision that night and damn if she didn't pay for it. She gets kidnapped by the hottest man she had ever seen that night. To say she was scared would be an understatement , but there is nothing she can do now except to see what her dark prince wants from her.

Maximus is the man who kidnapped her. He had been tasked to kidnap her and damn if her didn't plan to enjoy it. In her Cinderella get up , she looked like the perfect innocent princess , he however was no prince charming. The things he planned to do to her would have her running for her life but there was nowhere she could go. Not until he allowed it. And he couldn't see that happening anywhere in the near future.

Web-Photo-Editor This is no back-alley mafia member who lurks in shadows and flits in and out of jail. No, no. This is a prince. Just not a charming one.”

This book was a short erotic tale for me. Every scene was hot and bothering and I loved this book for that itself. One of the things that I actually liked was that , even with such a short sorry the author managed to give us a reasonable storyline. A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there, if you are into modern retelling of fairy tales and Captor Captive Romance , then you should not miss this book at any cost!
