Title: Striker
Author: Rachel Leigh
Genre: Dark bully Romance
Type: Redwood Rebels #1
POV: Dual
Release date: 12th Nov 2020
My rating: 💋💋💋💋

Two wrongs don't make a right.
But, try telling them that.

Marni

I wasn't supposed to be at that house.
I should have never wandered away from the party.
And I definitely shouldn't have pressed my ear to that door.
The words I heard play in my mind like a record on repeat.
Now, they want my silence.
The four guys who terrorize the halls of Redwood High as a sport will stop at nothing to make sure that my lips are sealed.
What they don't know is that I refuse to go down without a fight.

Talon
Marni Thorn thinks she's holding all the cards.
She believes she's harboring our secret.
Little does she know, it wasn't ours to begin with.
We made a rule that she's off limits.
But a body like that is meant to be touched.
Limits are pushed, and rules are broken.
But one things for certain, I have my little rebel right where I want her.

Striker is a Dark Bully Romance
that contains explicit sexual content,
graphic language, and situations that some
readers may find uncomfortable.

“Striker” is the first part of the brand new series “Redwood Rebels” by Rachel Leigh. Told in dual perspectives, Get ready to meet Talon and Marni!

Marni is the main girl of this story. She has somehow managed to land herself in trouble. When she accidentally stumbles upon info that she wasn't supposed to learn, Talon sets his eyes on her. Talon is the King of their college. He is into shady stuff and the last thing he wants is a witness. So now Marni is his to do as he wants. He captures her and is all set to use her for his own gain. And really does not care what happens to her in the end.

Marni is terrified. She is not a meek girl that will roll over when these boys tell her to, but she still wasn’t supposed to get into this big mess. Now she has to do whatever Taln and his friends want because they have control over her through evidence. That is until things between her and Talon start heating up. Her main tormentor takes an Interest in her and the terrifying thing is that a part of her likes that.

I won’t lie and say that this book was all good for me. The storyline was very confusing to me. There were parts where I had a hard time understanding what was happening. The characters were good and the rest of the boys definitely intrigued me. I can tell that they all have their own stories to tell and Can’t wait for more from this series! Even though Marni and Talon got their HEA in this story but the whole story is by no means over. I still have a lot of questions to be answered which will hopefully be answered in the story of the other boys. If you are into thrilling books with a bit of bullying and steam , then definitely try this book!
