HOLY SHIT.

I have no other word to say or to express the tornado of emotions I am feeling right now. My heart is beating too fast and my breathing is out of control. This book was EVERYTHING. No other book is as perfect as this one! First of all I would like to criticize the bookish friends I have . I mean , this book has been released for years and no one suggested this to me!!?? I am definitely considering some relationship upgrades, I am telling you!

I have always been a huge fan of this author's books , but at the same time I am hesitant to start them. Because I know what she is capable of. I have to clean up my schedule , including my head and heart to make space for the infinite amount of emotion her book is definitely going to induce in me. This book was no less.

I get into bed with him and settle in the crook of his arm, my head against his chest. And if magic didn’t exist within Connor, then it exists all around him. Because moments ago, I was dirty , dazed and damaged, and now… Now I was falling asleep under a starlit sky, surrounded by tiny glimmers of hope. "

Connor and Ava's story is such a painful tale , that it will take you moments to grasp the fact , that life is very harsh with some people. Both of them have their difficulties. Life is not fair to everyone, and this book is the perfect example of that fact.

Ava is a lonely girl. Her mother is a war survivor, who barely survived a grenade explosion. Half of her brain in dysfunctional and she has episodes. Serious and harmful episodes. Ava has dedicated her whole life to care about her mother's. Boys are nowhere on her radar. That is until she meets a newcomer in town.

Connor is not a typical social jock. He is a pro basketball player , but talking to people and socializing has never been his strong suit. He too has issues. His insecurities rotate around his mother and many other facts. All he wants is to get noticed. That is until he get partnered with the rudest girl in town.

Connor tries to talk to her , but of course she ignored him ,so he gave up after some time. A project partnership forces them both to be social and develop a bond that did not break, even when put through the toughest decisions of life. They both had an amazing love story , but like I said before , life was cruel to them. Circumstances and situations forced them both to grow apart and make tough decisions.

By the time I had turned the last page , I was in tears! The ending was so sad and incomplete 😭😭 , I need the second book now!! My heart shall not survive it! This book was the whole package for me and it was definitely one of the top reads of this year for me!! A definite recommendation to all the hardcore contemporary lovers out there! If lots of angst and tears is you addiction, then this book is for you!
