Bully boys.
Arrogant tyrants.
Blue-blood bastards.
Call them whatever you want.
Around here, we just call them Kings.
Fancy boats.
Lakeside mansions.
Luxe watches and bespoke suits.
The Kings of High Court College act like Gods.
And Cooper Valcourt is the worst of them.
He is the bully king.
His family owns everything.
And his mission is to put me in my place and send me packing.
But Cooper and I have a history filled with secrets.
And everyone knows that power doesn’t come from having money.
It comes from holding secrets.
And I’m holding one of his.
A very dark secret that can bring him to his knees.

Bully King is new-adult, dark, bully romance from New York Times bestselling author JA Huss featuring boys with power and girls at their mercy. It’s a campus shrouded in lies and a summer rush into an elite society that can propel a poor girl straight into the ruling class.
If… she’s willing to pay the price.

'Bully king' is the first novel of a Duet by the best selling author J.A. Huss. Told in dual perspectives , this book was one brutal bully Romance!!
I feel gutted. I have no other words to explain my emotions , except this feeling of my heart being plucked out of my chest by this freaking author!! This book is one dark bully romance, I am warning you guys! The things these boys do to the girls will have you gulping back shudders… In the starting of this book , I felt like I should stop reading because the bullying was getting too much for me.. but I am so grateful that I continued because this book was one of the most memorable reads of mine of 2020!
Cadee is a lonely girl , who has just lost her mother. Her life suddenly takes a big turn when she is summoned by the school principal to live in his house and work as a servant in exchange of scholarship and funds. There was just one issue. Actually three issues. The principal' son Cooper and his two best friends Ax and Lars. They all seemed to grow close to each other one summer in the past. Well not actually close , because the boys still tormented Cadre , but they did grow close behind closed doors. That is until something happened. And to cover that up Cooper sort of encouraged her to do something she didn't want to do. There is no love lost between those two and they seem to hate each with a huge intensity.
Cooper is the king of the High court. Or he is destined to be. He seems to have everything , but all he wants is to get away from his life. I wouldn't say that he was a good character. He was the worst type. He bullied Cadee and he did it with a smile on his face. He was a rich spoiled brat and I won't even say that he had a transition throughout the book because that would be false. Cooper was a villain to the very end of the book. All we did get to notice were his vulnerable moments. Hopefully we'll see a transition in book 2 of the duet.
It was a bit tough for me to wrap my head around some scenes of this book. Cooper had his vulnerable moments and he did care about Cadee. A lot. He confessed that too! But then why the brutal bullying?? Seemed a bit too much to me. But then hey, maybe we'll get more answers in book 2 . That is the only hope I have!
I won't say that this was a bad book but I am already warning you guys that the bullying is bad! If you think you can stomach that, go for this book!! This book had everything, the brutal scenes and the vulnerable scenes that made me bawl my eyes out! all you have to do is to get through that bullying to get to the vulnerable scenes.. This author has really given us a whole package book. I can't wait for the second book!! It's gonna be so amazing..
