What happens when you fall for the boy next door?

But that was until the day her mother remarried. The day that changed everything. When her best friend's cousin, Liam Falcon, is sent to live with his aunt and uncle to clean up his act, Bea finds herself falling for the boy next door. With their hearts so infinitely entwined, Bea turns to Liam as her only escape from her new step-brother's daily torment at home. Bea thought their love could conquer anything. But she was wrong. Love was for fools, and she was the biggest fool of them all. When Liam left Lakeport, he took her heart with him, shattering the organ to pieces.
Six years later, Liam takes a trip back to Lakeport to visit his family, and to see HER.
His first love. The girl who holds his heart. The same girl who shattered it six years ago without looking back.
Liam is hell-bent on seeing Bea again after six years, but what he finds tears his heart in half. Bea Norwood is a shell of the girl he fell in love with. ' Ache' by S.M. Moto is a gut wrenching, Second chance contemporary romance novel. This book is a Standalone.
The only warning that I can give you guys before reading this book is , BE READY TO GET YOUR HEARTS RIPPED OUT! the author does not hold back in this book and it has serious triggers! Consider yourself warned…
This is the second book that I have read by this author and I am stunned by the amount of emotions she manages to make me feel through her books ! 'Ache' was one of those books that had me crying ugly and praying for mercy at the same time. I have become a huge huge fan of this author and would probably be reading and drooling over all of her books in the future!
Bea. That girl is one of the strongest characters I have ever encountered. The abuse she suffered had my heart shattering for her. But no matter what , she always remained strong. Her strength and beauty had me in awe of her! Such an amazing woman she became later. Liam was the perfect match for Bea. They both were so lucky that they got to find love at such a small age. That is until fate ruined everything. Liam was forced to leave Bea behind and both of them embarked on the journey of life seperately from there.
That is until Liam returned to the city to see the girl he loved so unconditionally. But what he found had him breaking apart even more. Bea was not the girl he had left behind. The woman before him was a shell of a person she was earlier and Liam decided that he had to get his Bea out of this shell she had wrapped herself in! The way Liam cared and pampered Bea had tears springing to my eyes and I found that so cute. There were moments when I wanted to ugly smack Liam , but anyone could see that everything he did was for Bea.
The way this author had narrated this tale to us , I am betting you that it is impossible to not feel connected to these characters! It was so satisfying for me to read the journey of a survivor as strong as Bea and her transition as she fought for her happiness that was long due! This book is a definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there who would love themes like second-chance and survival! But please I am warning you all again that this book contains triggers , so read at your own risk 💗
