Title: Forsaken

Genre: Contemporary Romance | Erotic | Second-Chance
Type: 2nd book of the GRITT FAMILY Series
POV: Dual

My rating: ⭐⭐⭐
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been in love with Chris.
I was never old enough or brave enough to act on it.
He never saw me like anything more than his best friend’s little sister.
So, when he falls in love with my best friend, I smile and try to move on.
Only I never thought I would lose them both.
***
One tragic night.
One day leaving me wondering what my future holds.
One event that has me see Salomé under a different light.
She’s the only one who can understand what I’m going through.
She’s also the only one who can soothe my pain.
I need her to survive. But I certainly shouldn’t take advantage of it.

Forsaken is the second book in the GRITT FAMILY series , by Gabrielle G.
Told in dual perspectives, this book was an enthralling take of second chances and choices!
This was the first book that I have read of this author and I love the way she portrayed the character's feelings so that I felt every pain and happiness they were going through. There were a few aspects of this story that I did not like and I'll discuss them later.
Here we get to meet Salome who is literally the most lonely character I have ever met. She has a big brother , and still she was very lonely. Her big brother was the one that I did not like. I hated the way he treated her and then came to apologise. It just seemed too much. Then there was the main hero of this book. No offence , but he really needed to get his priorities straightened.
There were scenes in the book that I really liked and felt touched by them. However , I was disconnected with this book for most of the part. The way the characters interacted with each other was borderline rude and I was really tired of that.
However this was a good one time read for me , and I would recommend it to all the contemporary second chance Romance lovers out there!
