Diamond in the rough is a book written by the best selling author Skye Warren. Told in dual perspectives , this was one thrilling captive romance.

I have read many books by Skye Warren, just like all of her works this book was also the perfect mixture of darkness and tenderness. Here we get to meet Holly and Elijah. Both of them have a history and meet again after a few years. Years ago they both met in France, where Holly is on a family vacation and Elijah is the bodyguard of the museum she decides to visit.

They both take a liking to one and other and end up going on a date. Holly has her first kiss and later they depart after a memorable day.

Years pass and they both meet again. However the situation this time is worse.

Both Elijah and Holly have been kidnapped. But it the worse for Elijah as he has been tortured too. As soon as he learns that it is holly in his cell, his protective instincts rise again. From there begins a battle for survival and saving each other.

This book was one amazing ride for me. This was not the regular romance as both the lead characters were captives. This book is recommended to all the dark romance lovers , because this book was all the flavours of dark and nasty!!!
