I was pretty excited to read this book, but I must say that I am a bit disappointed. Both the characters seemed to be very irritating to me. Aiden, the main character of the book was just such an asshole. The things he did, and then he was not even sorry for any of it. He was just his usual annoying-arrogant self. And then there was the female protagonist. The moment Aiden came near her, she literally forgot about everything,including his marital status.
The way the author has portrayed the characters is a bit unsettling for me. I don't think there exists someone as charming as Aiden, that he literally made everyone swoon. The whole book basically was the heroine trying to communicate with the hero and his only response was to have sex with her. He didn't even respond to the basic questions!!! I mean, that was too much. And the heroine too was happy with that.
I am sorry to say , but there were only a few parts of this book that I actually liked.This book was just a one time read for me , and in that one-time too, I was pretty much rushing to finish the book because I never felt sort-of connected to the characters.
Anyway, people who love contemporary second-chance romance can try reading this. I am sure there will be many people with different opinions.
