Our two main characters of the book spent their summer together and grew pretty close. Later after the holidays , Shane decides to breakup with Scarlet because he can't concentrate on his football and stuff. After the breakup Scarlet finds him locking lips with another girl , leaving her irreparably shattered.

Now after 17 years she is back in the town again. She moves into her news house and gets the shock of her life when she locks eyes with her new neighbor, i.e. her long-lost love ,Shane!!
From that part , the main story starts. The first thing I would like to do is to High-five Scarlet for taking it to another level with her grudge!! The way she made Shane pay for his misdeeds was amazing!!! For me, there is nothing more addicting than a wonderful grovelling story!!!!

And Kudos to Shane for not giving up on his love , who was at times a bit of a bitch to him, even though he totally deserved it!! They both lived so close to each other and it was inevitable for either of them to not run into each other, which led to those small "by-accident " meetings and moments were the one that made the foundation of their new-found relationship.

The basics of a second-chance story is always the same. I mean there is the perfect starting , then someone fucks up and then there is the re connection. The story of this book was also the same, but I absolutely loved the way the author delivered the story.
There were funny parts, parts that make you cry and the ones that want to make you hit someone over the head!! The author promised us an amazing book and absolutely delivered it!!
